As a follow-up to my post about Keyboard Tools I wanted to mention that there exists another nice tool for re-mapping. It can be found as part of the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools and is called remapkey.exe .

To make my caps-lock key work as the Windows key, I just drag-and-dropped the “Left Windows” onto the “Caps” key in the upper window.
